Account deletion and recovery

Updated: 19 October 2026

Delete an account

  1. Write to emtrack2026@outlook.com from the registered email with the subject “Math Whiteboard account deletion”.
  2. Support verifies mailbox ownership with a fresh challenge sent to that mailbox. Knowing the account email or a student invitation does not prove ownership. Do not send a password.
  3. Confirm that you want to permanently delete the account, all boards/files/history, students, schedules, homework and payment records. Deletion cannot be undone.
  4. Support deletes active account data, invalidates sessions and invitations, and confirms separately when backup copies containing the data have been retired. There is currently no fixed automatic backup-erasure deadline. Ask for the status if you have not received completion confirmation.

To remove a single board, use My boards → Delete. To remove personal information about a student, contact the teacher and support: archiving does not erase a student record. Uninstalling the extension does not delete an account.

Forgotten password

  1. Write from your registered email with the subject “Math Whiteboard access recovery”.
  2. Complete the mailbox ownership check. If you cannot access the mailbox, recovery cannot be guaranteed; support must not transfer an account based only on a name or screenshot.
  3. Support sends a private one-time link valid for 15 minutes. Set a new password of 12–128 characters. Existing teacher sessions and student invitations are revoked; sign in again and create new invitations.

There is no automatic recovery email. Support must issue the link manually after verification. Never send your password to support.
